Abstract: Uterine Leiomyomas are a common condition, diagnosed in 20-25% of women of reproductive age. However, vulval leiomyomas are rare and often mistaken for Bartholin’s cyst before surgery. These benign tumors generally cause little to no discomfort, with patients typically presenting with a painless vulval swelling that has been present for an extended period, sometimes years. Although leiomyomas in the vulva are uncommon, they are the most prevalent benign solid tumors in this area. Vulval leiomyomas represent only 0.03% of all gynecologic tumors and 0.07% of vulval tumors.

Abstract: Infertility is a global issue affecting many couples. Oxidative stress (OS) damages sperm through lipid peroxidation and protein oxidation, reducing seminal quality. The imbalance between antioxidants and reactive oxygen species (ROS) due to various factors like lifestyle, diet, genetics, and OS contributes to male infertility. High ROS levels damage sperm parameters, including DNA and protein structures. Addressing OS through lifestyle changes and antioxidant therapy can help manage male infertility. However, identifying the exact causes of OS-induced infertility remains challenging. This review explores the role of oxidative stress in male infertility and current management strategies.

Abstract: Preterm birth, defined as delivery before 37 weeks of gestation, remains a major global public health challenge. In 2022, an estimated 15 million babies were born prematurely, accounting for approximately 10% of all births (World Health Organization, 2023). Preterm birth is the leading cause of neonatal death and can have life-long consequences for both the infant and mother, including respiratory distress, developmental delays, and an increased risk of chronic diseases later in life (Placeholder - see note). Existing risk assessment tools often lack the precision to accurately identify those most likely to experience preterm labor, hindering our ability to implement targeted preventative interventions. Biomarkers, measurable biological indicators, offer the potential to revolutionize how we predict and manage preterm birth risk.

Abstract: Male infertility significantly impacts approximately half of all couples struggling with infertility. A notable proportion of male infertility cases are classified as idiopathic, where the cause remains unidentified. Traditionally, sperm DNA has been the primary focus in understanding the males contribution to fertilization. However, recent studies emphasize the critical roles of various sperm transcripts and proteins in processes like the acrosome reaction, sperm-oocyte fusion, and subsequent embryo development. This review offers a thorough and current examination of the molecular biology underlying spermatogenesis. It highlights the evidence for spermatogenetic failure, with a particular focus on the molecular factors carried by sperm that are vital for oocyte fertilization and embryonic growth. This information serves as a foundational step toward discovering new diagnostic markers and potential therapeutic targets for what is currently classified as idiopathic male infertility.

Abstract: Menopause signifies a profound transition in a womans life, marked by the permanent cessation of menstruation and the end of ovarian follicle development. While genetics largely determine the onset age—unaffected by race, socioeconomic status, or age at first menstruation—factors like smoking, ovarian surgeries, or hysterectomies (even when ovaries are retained) can trigger an earlier onset. This phase introduces a spectrum of symptoms known as postmenopausal syndrome, significantly impacting womens health. Key mental health concerns during this period include depression, sleep disturbances, mood swings, irritability, and cognitive impairments such as memory issues. Additionally, theres an increased risk of developing psychiatric disorders post-menopause.
