Abstract:
The rapid adoption of Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies in African countries has outpaced the development of comprehensive regulatory frameworks, creating a significant gap in AI governance tailored to the African context and potentially exacerbating existing socio-economic inequalities. This study addresses this critical issue by examining the adoption, governance, and practices of AI across select African countries.
