Challenges for Funding Higher Education in Zambian Public Universities: A Study of Selected Institutions
Mathew Henda Njamba
Abstract: This mixed methods study examines obstacles to funding higher education in selected Zambian public universities—Mulungushi University, Copperbelt University, and Mukuba University. Through questionnaires (n = 150 academic, administrative, and finance staff), semi structured interviews with university leaders and stakeholders (n = 18), observations, and document review, the study identifies principal constraints: inadequate and delayed government allocations, limited diversification of revenue (low private sector engagement, weak internal income generation), rising operational costs, governance and financial management weaknesses, and infrastructural deficits.
Effects of Work–Life Balance on Adult Learners and Its Integration in Adult Education: A Study of Selected Schools in Chingola District
Mathew Henda Njamba
Abstract: This mixed methods study examines the effects of work–life balance on adult learners and the degree to which work–life balance principles are integrated into adult education programs in selected schools in Chingola District, Zambia. Using a convergent parallel design, data were collected from 120 adult learners via structured questionnaires and from 15 educators/administrators through semi structured interviews and non participant observations. Quantitative analyses employed descriptive statistics and chi square tests to explore associations between demographic factors and reported work–life balance impacts.
Impact of Adult Education Programmes in Promoting Flood Resilient Communities in Bayelsa State, Nigeria.
Warebi Brisibe, 2Doreen Kobani
Abstract: Bayelsa State, located in the low-lying Niger Delta region of Nigeria, is recurrently afflicted by destructive floods that displace communities, damage property, disrupt livelihoods, impair education, and exacerbate socio-economic vulnerability. While infrastructural and environmental mitigation measures e.g., drainage, raised buildings, land reclamation, remain indispensable, non-structural interventions — particularly adult education and community awareness hold promise for strengthening long-term flood resilience.
Effects Of New Education Policy On Students’ Emotional Growth
Dr. NEETA PANDEY
Abstract: The first Director-General of World Health Organization (WHO), Dr Brock Chisholm said, “Without mental health, there can be no true physical health.” The National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 in India emphasizes the crucial bondage between mental well-being and all-round development of the students. It intends to integrate mental fitness with education system, emphasizing professional counseling, and promoting a congenial environment for both students and teachers.
Embedding Life Skills and Moral Values in English Curriculum: An NEP 2020 Perspective
Charneet Kaur Sandhu, Dr Neeta Pandey
Abstract: Contemporary educational discourse increasingly emphasizes that schooling must foster learners’ social, emotional, and ethical development alongside academic achievement. The National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 advocates a holistic, competency-based approach, highlighting the integration of life skills and moral values from the foundational stages of learning. English language education offers significant potential for embedding ethical understanding and life skills through interactive and experiential learning.
Baseline Ecological Assessment of Mangrove (Avicennia marina) in Al Bidyah, Fujairah, United Arab Emirates
Romina L. Nuqui, Dr. Majd Al Herbawi, Hanadi Al Ali
Abstract: This study provides a baseline ecological assessment of a planted mangrove (Avicennia marina) stand established in Al Bidyah, Fujairah, United Arab Emirates (UAE). The site, planted in 2018 with approximately 2,500 seedlings, represents the first documented mangrove restoration effort in the Emirate. Field surveys conducted from 2018 to 2024 evaluated seedling survival, growth performance, soil properties, reproductive phenology, and associated faunal communities.
Design And Implementation Of An Automated Multi-Source Selection Smart Uninterruptible Power Supply System
Dr. Stephen Eduku
Abstract: This research paper focuses on or proposes a smart uninterruptible power supply system with a phase selector and automatic changeover to intelligently manage three distinct power sources, such as the grid, considered the main power supply, the generator, and solar, considered as backup supply systems, to ensure uninterruptible power to critical applications. The novelty of the proposed design lies in its incorporation of the grid, generator, and solar power sources, along with an automatic changeover switch and source selector, and its ability to avert power supply interruptions when any of the power sources is active or present.
Characterization of Water Quality Parameters of Groundwater in Fluoride Endemic Zones of Mahendergarh District, Haryana
Neelam Bhartia, Ravi Kumar Rana
Abstract: Groundwater quality in semi arid regions is increasingly threatened by both natural processes and anthropogenic activities, with fluoride contamination emerging as a major concern for public health and agriculture. The present study investigates seasonal variations in groundwater quality across forty sampling sites in Mahendergarh district, Haryana, during pre and post monsoon periods.

Hoa T. Le, Ha-Phuong T. Pham, Huy-Nguyen Cat, Anh H. Nguyen, Thanh-Huong T. Tong
Abstract: Henna leaves have been used as a natural hair dye due to the presence of lawsone, a red-orange naphthoquinone pigment. In this work, we investigate three extraction techniques: conventional solvent reflux extraction, Soxhlet extraction, and ultrasonic-assisted extraction (UAE) to isolate lawsone from henna leaf powder using water (with mild acid addition) as a green solvent.
Strategic Communication, Psycholinguistics, and National Security: NATO and Allied States
M T R Zubair
Abstract: Psycholinguistics, the scientific study of how humans produce, interpret, and are influenced by language, has emerged as a critical yet underutilized frontier in national and international security. In an era where hostile actors increasingly weaponize narratives, manipulate discourse, and exploit cognitive vulnerabilities, the ability to systematically analyze language provides NATO and its member states with both defensive and offensive strategic advantages.

Abstract: Reconfigurable Intelligent Surfaces (RIS) represent a transformative technology for next-generation wireless networks (e.g., 6G), addressing persistent challenges such as power consumption, spectrum scarcity, interference, and security vulnerabilities. RIS dynamically manipulates electromagnetic wave propagation through programmable phase, amplitude, and polarization adjustments, enabling control over wireless environments without active signal amplification.
Spatial and Multilevel Analysis of Grid Electricity Availability in Somaliland using SIHBS 2023
Shacban Abdilahi Elmi
Abstract: This study examines the spatial and multilevel analysis of grid electricity availability in Somaliland, a setting characterized by regional disparities in electricity access. Using a quantitative cross-sectional design, the analysis draws on data from the 2023 Somaliland Integrated Household Budget Survey (SIHBS), encompassing 2,703 households. Spatial statistical techniques including Moran’s I and Getis-Ord Gi* hot spot analysis, are combined with multilevel logistic regression to identify the factors associated with access to reliable 24-hour grid electricity.
