Abstract:
Pregnancy with pulmonary hypertension (a type of high blood pressure in the lungs) is very dangerous for both mother and baby. This condition, characterized by elevated pulmonary artery pressure (PAP) and pulmonary vascular resistance (PVR), can lead to right ventricular failure due to increased afterload. Other risks include thromboembolic complications and hemodynamic instability. There are newer treatments that help, but they do not make the risks go away completely.
