Suspension system in an automobile determines the riding comfort of passengers and the amount of damage to the vehicle. In this paper, the passive suspension system, quarter car model is analyzed to improve handling and ride performance of a vehicle. Two degree and three degree of freedom with and without tire damping is analyzed by using Matlab Simulink. Comparisons between passive suspension system with tire damping and without tire damping are performed by using different damping ratios range from 0.2 to 0.4.
