This paper is based on an on-going postgraduate research study which is aimed at investigating the effect of different management styles of principals on teacher performance in secondary schools. The objectives of the study included establishing secondary school principals’ management styles and how they relate to a teacher’s performance in relation to teachers’ perception and students’ academic performance. The study adopted exploratory survey, descriptive survey and correlation designs. Random and stratified sampling techniques were used to identify the respondents.
