Abstract:
Hybridization, the most potential breeding system, brought about significant qualitative and quantitative changes in the Indian agricultural scenario. The invention of cytoplasmic male sterile (CMS) lines for production of F1 hybrid rice seeds using modern CMS rice breeding technology has no doubt created a new approach in agricultural sector.
