ype 2 Diabetes Mellitus is a complex disorder due to the actions and interactions of many genetic and environmental factors. Although exercise and changes in the diet can reduce the complications of Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus, identifying the genetic risk factors and non-genetic risk factors may help treat the disease better with its known physiology and effective therapies. Recent identification of different genetic risk locus of chromosomes, disease susceptibility genes and the genetic variations of each gene is not only a step towards knowing the disease but also help treate the disease, Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus better.
