Abstract:
Background and Objectives: Cardiovascular diseases have a major share in the incidence of non-communicable diseases. CVD is also one of the leading causes of deaths in India. It has outgrown the boundaries of gender, location of dwelling etc. A number of studies have been conducted time and again to find out the prevalence of cardiovascular disease. This article aspires to collate all the data gathered by such studies conducted after year 2000 and provide an overview of the prevalence of CVDs in India.
