Abstract:
Millions of babies have been born thanks to in vitro fertilization (IVF) since the first IVF baby was welcomed into the world over 40 years ago. Fertility treatments like IVF could make it possible for 3% of the world population to exist by 2100. New developments in reproductive medicine, like advanced sperm injection techniques, egg freezing, genetic testing of embryos, and stem cell research, are revolutionizing the way we approach fertility challenges. This is leading to what experts call a renaissance in the field. The technology behind IVF has progressed incredibly over the past four decades, and this article aims to outline and explain the most significant advancements in reproductive medicine during recent years.
