Abstract:
Polycystic ovarian disease (PCOD) is a common hormonal, metabolic, and reproductive condition. Women with PCOD during their reproductive years are at a higher risk of prediabetes, diabetes, and other associated conditions such as endometrial cancer, mental health issues, and sleep apnea. However, there is limited information on the impact of PCOD on the long-term health of older women. This review aims to provide an updated overview of the long-term health implications of PCOD in both premenopausal and postmenopausal women.
