Abstract:
Future predictions of rainfall patterns in water-scarce regions are important and essential for effective water resources management. Global circulation models (GCMs) are commonly applied to conduct such predictions. However these models are complex and expensive. Moreover, their results are associated with uncertainties and variations for various greenhouse gas emission scenarios. This study involves predicting future rainfall under different scenarios of GCMs for Mandalay, upper Myanmar.
