Abstract:
The recently proposed interleave-division multiple access (IDMA) system, a multiuser scheme where users are separated by unique interleaver sequences on the horizon of wireless communication world. The receiver involves a chip-by-chip iterative multi-user detection that uses low complexity turbo-like iterative receivers. Its complexity increases with the number of users, the number of iterations and the number of paths in the case of multipath channels. In IDMA the separation of the information of different users is achieved by interleaving. Criteria for design for a good interleaver IDMA include requirement low memory, low correlation among interleave, low complexity, low overhead synchronization between user and base station.
