Service Availability, Affordability, and Responsiveness as Determinants of Customer Satisfaction in Rural Water Schemes under the Delegated Management Model: Evidence from Kisumu County, Kenya

Abstract: Customer satisfaction is increasingly recognized as a critical indicator of the effectiveness and sustainability of rural water service delivery systems. This study assessed customer service performance of rural water schemes operating under the Delegated Management Model (DMM) in Kisumu County, Kenya, using the case of NYANAS Water Company. Specifically, the study examined service availability, affordability of water services, and responsiveness to customer concerns, and their influence on customer satisfaction.
