Abstract:
The study of motivation and its implication to employees is a contemporary agendum in human resources management. Admittedly, there have been manifold misconceptions about employees’ motivation. The misconceptions have been causing diverse sentiments among management scholars, practitioners and sometimes employees when trying to elucidate and apply the concept. Such misconceptions entails as to whether employees are intrinsically or extrinsically motivated, if some of employees are not at all motivated or all employees are motivated by single package and if money is the only center of motivation
