Abstract:
This study focuses on the assessment of the spatial and temporal changes of Kiri lake between 1984 and 2016. The study used both geo-information techniques and field survey to carry out analysis on the spatial as well as the changes in the depth of the lake. Landsat TM and OLI of 1984 and 2016 respectively were digitized in order to determine the extent of surface area changes that has occurred. Field method was used in determining changes in the depth of the lake. The results revealed that the lake has reduced in both surface area and depth.
