The purpose of this study was to evaluate the performance of Microfinance Banks in Nigeria using Balanced Scorecard. The study used a mixed method by combining both historical data and primary data respectively sourced from published reports which covered the period 2013 -2017 as well as questionnaire used to obtain opinions of staff and customers of LAPO Microfinance Bank, a foremost microfinance bank in Nigeria. It was hypothesized that customer, internal business process, learning and growth and financial perspectives have no significant influence on the performance of microfinance banks in Nigeria.
