Abstract:
The Schiff base ligand, which was prepared and used to synthesize Co(II), Ni(II), Cu(II), and Zn(II) complexes, was obtained by condensation reaction of 2-hydroxy-1-naphthaldehyde with 4-aminobenzoic acid (H2L). The Schiff base ligand and their metal complexes were characterized by FT-IR, PXRD, magnetic susceptibility, conductance measurements, and CHN analyses.
