Abstract: Background: Ovarian carcinoma is a cancer with high mortality in women and despite comprehensive management with surgery and chemotherapy at an advanced stage, the survival rate is still low. TGFβ-1 contributes to the progression of malignancy and its expression is a prognostic predictor and a potential therapeutic target in several malignancies, but the results are mixed in ovarian carcinoma. Objective: To assess the relationship between TGFβ-1 immunohistochemical expression and various clinicopathological parameters of ovarian carcinoma.
