This study intends to explore the issues prevailing in the vocational training programs conducted for female prison inmates in Sri Lanka. This is a qualitative case study based on the vocational training programs conduct in two prisons in Sri Lanka. The study used semi-structured in-depth interviews which were conducted over the telephone with trainers who were engaged in providing vocational training programs for the female inmates in the two chosen prisons.
