Abstract:
Substituted benzaldehydes are condensed with anisil and ammonium acetate to yield the corresponding 2-substitutedphenyl-4,5-bis-(4-methoxyphenyl)-1H-imidazoles . P-Anisil can be synthesized by the oxidation of P-Anisoin . All synthesized compounds were characterized on the basis of melting point, IR, NMR spectra and elemental analysis.
