Abstract:
Urbanization is increasing at an alarming rate with 50% of the world population expected to be living in urban areas by 2025 and more transformation is expected in development countries[9]. This rapid urbanization in turn will affect sustainable urban traffic management. This huge increase in urban population has also resulted in rapid car ownership which causes traffic problems hence the need for proper traffic management solutions. Transport development is very crucial in cities for the movement of goods and people and there is therefore need for proper traffic management for the efficient running of the economy.
