Abstract:
The hydrodynamic flow over a flat plate in the presence of magnetic field is investigated. The governing non linear partial differential equations of momentum and energy are transformed into non linear ordinary differential equations using the appropriate similarity transformation variables. The transformed non linear differential equations are solved using shooting method along side with finite difference method. The effect of magnetic field, Prandtl number and some other important parameters encountered were discussed. From the result it is observed that the parameters have significant influence on the flow.
