Abstract:
Background: Obesity is associated with chronic low-grade inflammation, that may contribute to insulin resistance by the actions of inflammatory adipocytokines. Low 25-hydroxy vitamin D levels are found to be significantly related to insulin resistance in women with PCOS and may exacerbates the disease.
