Abstract:
Loneliness can be described as a condition of distress or uneasiness, which is a result of perceived isolation. It causes emotional pain due to a deficit of social connectedness. Psychological distress is a term which is used to explain a subjective experience accompanied by unpleasant feelings such as depression and anxiety. The current study aimed to investigate the relationship between loneliness and psychological distress among adults. There is an increased necessity to learn more about the causes of psychological distress in the modern world, its relationship to loneliness and social isolation, as it will benefit the diagnostic field of psychology.
