Abstract:
A TB prevalence survey conducted by National Tuberculosis, Leprosy and Lung Disease-Program (NTLD-P) in 2016 revealed that the burden of TB in Kenya is higher than the previous assumptions. Additionally, it demonstrated that there was a higher burden of TB in urban compared to rural settings consistent with routine TB data collection which shows a higher notification in the big cities of Nairobi and Mombasa.
