Employee empowerment is an act of enabling or authorizing an individual to think, behave, take action, and control work and decision-making in autonomous ways. It involves giving employees skills, resources, authority, freedom, opportunity, as well as holding them responsible and accountable for their actions. This study is aimed at exploring the present scenario of employee empowerment in some of the commercial banks at Kathmandu. It is based on a qualitative survey in Kathmandu valley, comprising five commercial banks and 150 sampled respondents selected by the random sampling method.
