Abstract:
Solid waste management is a multidimensional and challenging issue faced by developing countries due to huge waste production and ineffective management. The solid waste management (SWM) system was studied to identify the key issues in Bahir Dar and a survey was conducted to provide statistical guidance for effective management of solid wastes. The results show that, the household solid waste (HSW) generation was 0.34 kg per capita per day (kg/c/d) as of 2019.
