Abstract:
This study investigated heavy metals concentration in Penaeus monodon, surface water and sediment for six months in Iwofe creek, in Niger Delta, Nigeria. Samples were collected from three stations and were analyzed for lead (Pb), chromium (Cr), cobalt (Co), Zinc (Zn), copper (Cu) and nickel (Ni) use of atomic absorption spectrophotometer. The results showed the level of heavy metal concentrations in P. monodon, surface water and sediment. From the results, lead, chromium and copper recorded the least concentrations across the three media (fish, sediment and surface water)
