Abstract: This study aims to determine the effect of macroeconomic variables (through indicators of inflation, exchange rates, and interest rates), operational financial performance variables (through BOPO ratio indicators, sales volume growth, and reference coal prices), and financial distress detection variables (through ratio indicators liquidity, leverage, and profitability) to detect financial distress as an effort as an early warning system for coal mining companies listed on the IDX for the 2019 – 2021 period.
