Abstract:
Advantages like low temperature processing, cost, and flexibility make organic semiconductors an ideal choice for the new generation electronic devices ranging from LEDs, Solar cells to RFID tags. Many of these devices, especially OLEDs are already conqured the consumer electronics market in a large scale. Ironically the potential for large scale production of these polymeric devices are posing a threat to the emission issues and waste disposal. This warrants the development of green organic semiconductors.
