Abstract:
During the recent years, few studies have investigated the association between university social context and cannabis use. This study of college students aimed to highlight the possible adoption of deviant behavior, related to cannabis smoking, by university students as a different form of entertainment from cultural and social reference standards. Secondly, we aimed to understand the relationship between CAST (Cannabis Abuse Screening Test) and social context; finally, we explored the possible association between social context and cannabis use. This paper explores the latent structure of cannabis users (especially its invariance towards gender and age) and the psychometric properties of the CAST by the assessment of a university student.
