Abstract:
Background: SARS-CoV-2 or severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 is the most recent strain of the coronavirus responsible for the late-2019 pneumonia epidemic. Initial clinical manifestation of COVID-19 disease is pneumonia. About 15 percent of patients with mild-to-moderate symptoms develop severe pneumonia, and 5 percent develop acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS), septic shock, and multiple organ failures.
