Metal machining process is one of the fundamental areas where manufacturing industry prospers.Themajor parameters that control the quality of the job within the tolerance limits are speed, feed and depth of cut and other process parameters that affect the machining. In this paper an effort has been made to study the effect of rake angle on cutting forces for a single point cutting tool. Different experiments are carried out to identify the variation in cutting force with the variation in rake angle.
