Abstract: Tuberculous spondylitis is a severe extrapulmonary manifestation of Mycobacterium tuberculosis requiring both medical and surgical management. Proinflammatory cytokines such as IL-6 and TNF-α are potential markers of disease activity. The aim of this study is to assess the relationship between pre- and postoperative IL-6 and TNF-α levels in tuberculous spondylitis patients.
