Abstract: From the moment an Indian girl experiences her first menstrual cycle (menarche) through her transition into menopause, she traverses a long and often complex journey of reproductive health. Gynecological issues during this life course encompass far more than pregnancy and childbirth, extending to a variety of concerns—menstrual irregularities, pelvic infections, infertility, endometriosis, polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS), gynecological cancers, and the challenges of menopause. Many of these conditions have a profound impact on quality of life, family dynamics, and personal well-being, yet remain under-discussed and under-prioritized in India.
