Effect of Breathwork on Stress and Mental Health: A Meta-Analysis of Randomized-Controlled Trials

Abstract: Breathwork, a period encompassing various respiration techniques and practices, has received giant interest in recent years as a capacity device for coping with pressure and improving mental fitness. Rooted in historic traditions consisting of yoga and meditation, breathwork has evolved to consist of a huge variety of techniques, from simple deep respiration exercises to more complex practices like Holotropic Breathwork. As the pace of current lifestyles continues to rise, mainly due to improved stress stages and mental fitness demanding situations, there is a developing hobby in on hand, non-pharmacological interventions that could provide relief and help usual well-being. The basis of breathwork lies within the intimate connection between respiration styles and the autonomic anxious machine.
