Abstract:
Protection and conservation of natural environments, especially water quality, has become a major concern and even a main focus in development programs over the last decade. In order to know the sensitivity of macroinvertebrates to the variation of dissolved oxygen in a human disturbed natural environment, a study was undertaken in the rivers of the Lake Kivu basin including Nyabarongo, Cirhanyobwa and Lwiro during one year.
