Abstract:
Shafaah and Istighathah are both Sufi terminologies that have become controversial areas of discourse. While Shafaah is intercession and pleading on behalf of someone with Allah on the Day of Judgement Istighathah is the saving power of Awliya Allah and seeking help from them dead or alive.
