Abstract:
The research investigates how digital transformation affects environmental sustainability in Hungarian energy management through an analysis of Industry 4.0 adoption at Schneider Electric, Eaton and Siemens. The research examines smart technology implementations in Hungarian operations through publicly available corporate reports and sustainability disclosures. The analysis reveals distinct technological integration patterns among the three companies where Schneider Electric demonstrates the most advanced platform development while Eaton concentrates on power grid stability and Siemens applies predictive analytics for renewable energy integration. The research evaluates the specific sustainability results which emerge from these technologies through their ability to enhance energy efficiency and decrease carbon emissions and provide lifecycle transparency. The research demonstrates that sophisticated digital solutions boost operational performance while speeding up each company progress toward European Green Deal environmental targets. The research provides valuable insights about how Industry 4.0 functions as a strategic sustainability tool for regional industrial areas.
