Abstract:
The research considered the design of a continuous stirred tank reactor (CSTR) for the production of 2 million tons per year of magnesium chloride from the neutralization reaction between magnesium oxide and hydrochloric acid. The design and temperature effect models were developed from the conservation principle of mass and energy at steady state process condition. The design models were simulated using MATLAB at fractional range of XA ≥ O ≤
