Abstract:
This is a prospective study of 31 cases of hair dye poisoning containing paraphenylene diamine. The clinical profile is dominated by development of angioedema, rhabdomyolysis and renal failure. Inotropic support, emergency airway management, alkaline diuresis and renal replacement therapy were the treatment modalities followed.
