Adapted Acute Peritoneal Dialysis, A Rescue Management Modality In Acute Kidney Injury In A Resource -Limited Setting- A Case Report

Abstract: Background: Acute peritoneal dialysis(PD) is a form of renal replacement therapy often useful in younger children with Acute Kidney Injury (AKI). However, in developing countries with limited resources, the consumables, such as peritoneal dialysate as well as PD catheter are not readily affordable for patients of low socio-economic status, thus making the procedure sometimes out of their reach.
