Abstract:
Over the last three decades there has been increasing global concern over the public health impacts attributed to environmental pollution. The world health organisation (WHO) estimates that about a quarter of the diseases facing mankind today occurs due to prolonged exposure to environmental pollution. Ecopharmacology is a broad term that includes studies of pharmaceuticals and personal care products (PPCPs) irrespective of doses and their route of entry into environment disturbing the balance of ecology.
