Profiling Long-term Outcomes in children with Auditory Brainstem Implant

Abstract: Auditory Brainstem Implant (ABI) is a bio-electronic device stimulating Cochlear Nucleus directly by-passing the inner ear and auditory nerve. ABI performed routinely in adults and children who are not candidates for CI. There is dearth of research available on documenting the long term outcomes concerning auditory comprehension and speech and language development in children with ABI.
