Abstract: Financial sector plays a vital role for the economic development of a country. Stability of banks is vital for a profitable and healthy financial system of the country since they provide funds for investment by controlling funds from savings to productive uses for money. Licensed Specialised banks (LSB) operating in Sri Lanka are mainly engaged in lending for national development projects and lending in regional level but legalized to limited engagements in foreign exchange.
