Abstract:
Confined spaces, often encountered in industries such as construction and manufacturing, pose unique risks due to limited entry points, hazardous atmospheres, and potential physical dangers. This study aims to analyze the definitions, hazards, and safety protocols related to confined spaces, guided by regulatory standards like OSHA and ANSI. Emphasis is placed on the importance of risk assessment, air quality monitoring, and psychological readiness as critical components for ensuring safety in confined environments. This paper also reviews best practices for confined space entry, including specific protocols designed to prevent accidents and ensure compliance with safety regulations. By following these standards, industries can effectively manage the risks associated with confined spaces, fostering safer work environments for all employees involved in high-risk operations.
