Abstract:
This paper examines the role of paramedics and nurses in managing mental health crises in pre-hospital settings in Saudi Arabia. It explores the challenges and benefits of collaboration between these healthcare professionals, highlighting the effectiveness of joint crisis response models in urban areas. Through case studies, the paper illustrates the need for enhanced training, especially in rural regions, where mental health resources are limited. The discussion emphasizes the importance of expanding mental health literacy, improving access to psychiatric care, and integrating crisis intervention training to ensure equitable and effective pre-hospital mental health care across the country.
