Abstract: The study to analyse financial barriers to access healthcare services by disabled children was conducted in Gulu district, Uganda. Literature reviewed has shown that there is an increasing number of disabled children in the world. In Gulu district, the number of children affected by nodding syndrome increased steadily through the year 2000. Nodding Syndrome (NS) is a critical and pervasive threat to human security in the affected communities of Northern Uganda, because it exacerbates vulnerability of people in the process of recovering from violent conflict".
