Abstract:
The laboratory services play a key role in all aspects of patient management. However, Laboratory services are concentrated in secondary and tertiary care hospitals. The SLS was started in 2006 to optimize laboratory services in the Badulla district by providing certain blood investigations to peripheral hospitals.
